![]() Polaroid’s Action Camera made its debut in Whistler at the 3rd annual Whistler Longboard Festival which took place July 5-7. As a sponsor of the Big Air Competition, Freestyle Showcase and the World Cup Downhill Race, Polaroid Action amped up the festival with prize giveaways and no shortage of entertainment. The Polaroid Big Air heated up Olympic Plaza on Friday afternoon showcasing top riders from around the world throwing tricks off a custom-built kicker into a giant Acro Bag. Polaroid was on site with t-shirt and camera giveaways getting the crowd pumped up and kicking off the festival in true action-sports fashion. On Saturday the Polaroid Freestyle Showcase went down in the center of Whistler Village and featured skate legend Kevin Harris along with Canada’s top freestyle skateboarders Ryan Brynelson and Andy Anderson. Pulling double duty, Polaroid also played host to their team of riders up at the World Cup Downhill venue that same day. Along with offering a cool place to sit down and chill out, they also gave away a generous supply of cameras to fans and supporters at the race. On point with the needs of athletes and filmmakers alike, their sponsorship at this year’s festival was the perfect match, giving them inordinate exposure, branding opportunities and recognition for the Polaroid Action Cam.
